Alok Vidyashram tries to instill into each student a particular set of skills. Skills like, but are not limited to, communication, unity, and determination. Skills that teach students from a young age – to work in team environments, help and support their colleagues/classmates/ citizens, and have a desire to stand out in a crowd. All these skills are essential parts that foster the growth of our professional and personal life. With that in mind, in my opinion - the core values associated with the skill taught in Alok are tolerance, kindness, and excellence. So, what does it really mean to be an Alokian?
To be an Alokian means to be able to accept a differing opinion, political view, and religion. To be an Alokian means always to be ready to provide a helping hand to those in need. To be an Alokian means always chasing excellence, especially when the world around them accepts mediocrity.
